12:00 - 17:00 - Weston under Redcastle Village Show at the Citadel.   Entry Adults £7.50 Children Free.   The two principal charities who will benefit from this year’s Show will be The Severn Hospice and the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.


SATURDAY 19th AUGUST


11:00 – 15:30 - A Vision Day for St Peter and St Paul’s Church.  Past, Present and Future: We will explore we were three years ago, where we are now, where we will be in three years. Please collect a flyer from back of church for further information.


CHURCH FLOWERS


If you would you like to remember a special person or an anniversary by sponsoring a pedestal arrangement, please speak to or phone me on 01939 232568. Our treasurer Caroline Sinclair would be happy to receive donations to the flower fund.


BENEFICE MAGAZINE


You will have noted that the August Magazine has not been published.  For many years Pam Clarke has edited our magazine but sadly she is no longer able do so.  We thank her for her all that she has done to publish this vital source of information.  At present no one has volunteered to take on this work but if you would be interested becoming editor our Rector would be delighted to hear from you (01939 235343 email revjohnjukes@gmail.com)

Ride and Stride for Shropshire Historic Churches.   Please sponsor Helen Hornsby and Rob Ballantyne who will be participating; their sponsorship forms are on the large table/chest at the back of the church.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED


September and October Rotas


We will shortly be preparing rotas for September and October. In addition, asking for people to read lessons, lead intercessions or making coffee please consider if you are able to welcome people to our 09:45 service. Thelma Pugh will be pleased to give you more information about this very important way of helping our church community.   Availability forms can be found at back of church and should be returned to Sybil or Thelma (Pugh) by 27th August.

The chapel at Whitchurch Road Cemetery is registered as a stop-off site for the Ride and Stride event on Saturday 9 September.  The chapel will be open and manned from 10.00am until 4.00pm with refreshments available - visitors will be most welcome, whether taking part in the event or not!
