2nd March - Facebook page launched at St Peter and St Paul's Church Wem
24th March - Wem remembers the 75th Anniversery of the Great Escape, Especially Flt Lt Cyril Douglas Swain RAF who grew up in Wem.
20th July - ‘Where Everyone Meets’ complemented the Last Wem Sweet Pea Show with a community event allowing local organisations to showcase their activities and/or raise funds for their organisations.
15th February - New Votive Candlestand presented by the Staff and Children of St Peter's CE Primary School
6th January - On Epiphany Sunday we said thank you and farewell to Doug Dytor on his retirement as our organist and choirmaster and to his wife, Brenda as a chorister. The rector thanked Doug and Brenda for their contribution to parish life and their many years of service to both the church and its music. Doug was presented with a framed photo of the parish church and Brenda with a basket of flowers. After the service we had a celebratory lunch at the Castle.
