St Peter’s School Visit

All Year 5 pupils from St Peter's School visited the Church on Friday 6 March and Friday 13 March.

Two Year Group classes visited as a part of their curriculum studies on The Bible.  In a full, fun and occasionally frenetic hour and a half they looked at how we understand Scripture.  Amongst other things they looked at how to understand the Bible through 21st Century eyes; the use of Scripture in worship; took part in a "Church Search"; and also an exercise leading to an appreciation of why there are four different Gospels.  Energetic high spirits and serious learning combined and concluded with a question and answer session with Fr Nick.

Many thanks are due to all the school adult staff who helped to make this work so well and especially to the Form Teachers, Miss Alison Evans and Miss Cathy Green and also to Jane Shute-Wilkinson who helped deliver both sessions and provided much needed refreshments at the end.

The pictures are from the second visit, Miss Evans' class; some pupils with Jill Dempster, Jane and Fr Nick.
