He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He was the Rural Dean at Wem, held the office of Prebendary of Lichfield and was the Rector at Wem.

Rev. Hon. Gilbert Holles Farrer Vane
Born on 26 September 1855. He was the son of Sir Henry Morgan Vane and Louisa Farrer. He married Mary Steadman, daughter of E. B. Steadman, on 24 June 1891. He died on 27 June 1905 at age 49.
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University. with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He was invested as a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries (FSA). On 12 August 1892 he was granted the rank of a baron's son. He was the Rector between 1895 and 1905 at Wem.
